Michael L Ciccolo, MD ~ Director of Congenital Cardiovascular Surgery
Dr. Ciccolo received his MD from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, Iowa City. He completed his Residency in General Surgery at the University of Arizona Department of Surgery, Tucson, his Cardiothoracic Surgical Residency at the University of Southern California Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Los Angeles, and a Congenital Cardiothoracic Surgical Fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Dr. Ciccolo is board certified in both Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. He joined Children’s Heart Center in July 2012 after a 12 year affiliation with Cardiovascular Surgery Associates in Las Vegas.
Juan M Lehoux, MD ~ Congenital Cardiovascular Surgery
Dr. Lehoux received his MD from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra, Santiago, Dominican Republic. He completed his Internship in General Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH and his General Surgery Residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. His Cardiothoracic Surgical Residency was done at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester NY, and a Congenital Cardiothoracic Surgical Fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. Dr. Lehoux is board certified in General Surgery, Thoracic Surgery and Congenital Cardiac Surgery. He joined Children’s Heart Center in September 2018.
Basel Al-Adham, PA-C
Basel obtained his Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from North Carolina State University and then obtained a Masters of Medical Sciences Degree (PA Program) from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He began his career in Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery before relocating to Las Vegas to join Cardiovascular Surgery Associates in 1993. Basel joined Children’s Heart Center in January 2012 as Surgical Cardiovascular Physician’s Assistant to Dr. Ciccolo. He has performed over 5,000 endoscopic vein harvesting procedures using the Maquet system. He is currently one of Maquet’s preceptors. Basel speaks Spanish and Arabic fluently.
