We are one of the largest pediatric cardiology programs in the country.
Children’s Heart Center Nevada’s has been providing the very best medical care to children with heart disease since 1980. We are one of the largest pediatric cardiology programs in the country. We see more than 55,000 patients per year. We have four offices and multiple outreach clinics in Nevada and we provide consultation and inpatient visits for children at all Nevada hospitals. We see all children in need of our services. And on the same day, if necessary.
The most common reason why your child would be referred to our office is that a heart murmur has been heard. Other reasons for referral may be chest pain, an irregular heartbeat, or another condition that may be affecting the heart. The word “murmur” is the source of much anxiety, but it simply means “sound.” Our job is to determine if this sound or “murmur” is something to be concerned about or not. If we find the heart murmur is a normal sound, you should not be concerned about it. If we find a problem during the exam or from the tests, then the condition will be fully explained to you.
