Awesome Apps for Back to School

It’s that time again…back to school. The school year is a busy time and before you know it, you’re juggling schedules and stressed to the max. We’ve got the perfect apps that will simplify your school year and help you avoid stress.

Check out our TOP 5 APPS for back to school:

The all in one organizer! Cozi is a super simple family organizer. Track multiple schedules, appointments, and recipes. Create and share grocery lists, to dos and chores in real time—all on one app. The best part is that it’s free! Get Cozi

Shop smart and save some $. School supplies tend to run low in stores days before school begins, so get started now to stay ahead of the crowds. Download the RedLaser App. It allows you to scan or search for items locally and on-line to ensure you get the best possible deal. Like a product, deal or store? Save it to your favorites with one tap. RedLaser also saves the info from your store loyalty cards, so no need to carry all of those in your wallet! Get RedLaser

Volunteer. VolunteerSpot is great for coordinating parent helpers for school or after-school activities. Whether you are homeroom parent or in charge of the team snack schedule, this app is for you! Quickly schedule jobs and items needed, invite parents to sign-up, and send reminders. Get VolunteerSpot

Don’t lose a single memory! The Artkive app makes it easy to store and organize your child’s artwork and projects. Take a photo, select the child who created it and the app tags the image with their name, grade and date. You can share with family and friends on social media or order a hardcover book of memories. Get Artkive

Keep track of the kids. The Life360 Family Locator app helps keep track of your kids when you’re at work or on the go. Register your child’s phone (doesn’t have to be a smartphone) and see their location on a map. Your kids can “check-in” when they arrive at their destination and you’ll be notified that they arrived safely. Create a “family circle” so all family members can see where each person is and message each other. Get Life360 Family Locator

These apps will make your life easier!

Lunch Printable: 2-Week Meal Plan
Tips for packing your kid’s lunch:
  1. Recruit their help – Kids are much more likely to eat what they picked out.
  2. Special touches – A cute container with food compartments adds some fun and is easy to pack. (Plus, they’re reusable, which will help you save money!)
Yum Lunch Box $28 – they come in really fun colors
Bentology $19 – also really fun colors that you can mix and match and a bit cheaper.
Rubbermaid Lunchblox $15 – containers you can mix and match.
  3. Add variety – No one likes eating the same thing everyday, so be sure to switch it up often. Utilize leftovers when possible and when in doubt, search Pinterest for new ideas.
  4. Don’t skimp on dessert – A small treat is the perfect way to get your kids excited about packing their lunch.
  5. Keep it simple – Packing lunches doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming!
Keep your kids full and focused all day!
